PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE FY 2009 Welcome to the 2008/2009 year of the Norfolk and Plymouth Estate and Business Planning Council. Our Organization, established in 1977, is now entering its 32nd year of offering educational programs and networking opportunities for professionals in our changing disciplines. Steve Dubin, Program Chairman, and the Executive Committee have come up with some great programs for the new year. It takes time to stay current with our various professions. We all receive journals, articles and other print that comes across our desks and into our homes than we can possibly read. Our educational programs give us the chance to sit back and listen to topics within our industry to better serve our clients. We feel we have some very timely topics on the calendar for the year. We start off the year with an Effective Communication Workshop; everyone works with clients and can benefit from an effective communication style. The other three programs include ESOP’s, Retirement Insurance, and Recent Estate Tax/Income Tax Changes and Developments. We will end the year with our Annual Meeting in June, which is more of a fun program than a “technical” meeting. The two possible speakers are Michael Vick, President of the Brockton Rox, or Michael Tougias, author of the best seller, “Ten Hours Until Dawn” and “Fatal Forecast: A Survivor’s Story”. We also encourage you to bring potential members to our meetings. A successful and dynamic organization fosters opportunities to network and exchange ideas. We have built in time before all of our meetings for members to talk amongst themselves and meet new people. Save the evening on October 22 for our social networking reception at the Wollaston Country Club. This is a fun event for all and a great way to meet new faces! programs or topics that you feel will serve our membership. Please participate
and stay involved, and see how membership in this vital organization benefits
